New Beginnings

This is a visual journal saying "farewell" to the team of individuals that once aided Hans. Everything requires growth and progression. Hans and their team did it both in their way. And now it is time to grow in separate directions. It is time for a new beginning.

Sorry for the quality of the copy. The beautiful work Hans did on this is marred by having my scanner going kaputz. This is a journal celebrating the years of service of Angie to Hans 2009. We wish her greener pastures.

Sketchbook Starbucks

Hans' ol stompin grounds is the nearby Starbucks. There, you will find him grabbin a steamin cup o' joe with Quilt his trusty side kick in crime. It is during these afternoon trips to his spot where he observes the day to day norms of human nature. It is also where he finds inspiration in the quirkiness we find in ourselves when we go grocery shopping. Don't be surprised if you see Hans' with pen and sketchbook in hand at your local cafe drawing and satiring what would seem like another day out and about!

This is a digital watercolor excercise. It was Hans' first experience using Corel Painter 11. Hans always seems to thrive on creating something out of efficient line explorations. He thrives continuosly for concept and composition even when less is more.

Hans is exploring and updating his skill set here in digital painting. Photoshop CS5 is the program and utilized a photo paint sampling tool. Here is a sensitive yet profound use of the software. Beautiful work Hans- W.P.
